Atriyad is a UK engineering consultancy that designs and builds automated production equipment — the mechanical hardware, the control software and the vision systems that run it.

We work with manufacturers, growers and technical teams in the UK, EU and US, on anything from a feasibility review to a complete cell designed, built and commissioned on site.

How a project runs

Most projects pass through all three stages in order. You can also engage us at any one of them — a design that needs software written for it, or software that needs hardware built to run on.

    Mechanical design and prototyping

    CAD, structural analysis, custom PCBs and printed prototype parts, drawn for manufacture and sourced.

    Control software and simulation

What we do

Six engineering disciplines, offered together or separately. The drawing is a vision sorting cell; each numbered callout marks the part of it one of these disciplines is responsible for. Most projects need several, some need only one.

    Deployed at Flavourfresh Salads

    Automated tomato packing cell: vision grading, cut planning and pack assembly to 220 g ±10%, built in ROS2 from scratch.

    From nothing to a working machine in nine months, at a 30% gross profit margin, and running on Flavourfresh Salads' line within a couple of months of that. It packs to a 220 g target within ±10%, holding a run average between 220 g and 240 g — grading, cut placement and pack assembly all decided on the line, in flight.
